What’s New – 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe
The stylish, midsize SUV has always been a fan favorite for Iowa drivers because of its elegant design concepts, both inside and out. Standard Hyundai SmartSense safety features, available HTRAC all-wheel drive, and generous warranty coverage are all making a comeback – with enough room for some new features and tech.
The only noticeable difference to the exterior of the 2023 Santa Fe is on the front end of the XRT and Calligraphy trims. Sporting a black grille and darker features, the XRT gives a rougher and tougher appearance. While the Calligraphy takes a slightly different approach, with 20-inch alloy wheels with a dark gray finish all the way to the grille.

This season the Santa Fe is bringing back all their previously offered powertrains. Below is a list of available engine options for the 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe as well as their performance specs.
Standard Santa Fe Engine
The standard-equipped powertrain for the 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe is a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder gas engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC. With this option, the Santa Fe will generate up to 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque.
Santa Fe Turbocharged Engine
This 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine comes standard on all Limited and Calligraphy trims. Paired with a quicker-shifting dual clutch 8-speed auto transmission, this powertrain can produce up to 281 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque.
Santa Fe Hybrid
The Santa Fe Hybrid is back for the 2023 model year with its standard equipped 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder hybrid engine. This powertrain is capable of up to 226 total system horsepower.
