Whether you’re sending someone access to your vehicle via the Digital Key, using the Bluelink Connected Car System to power on the ignition with your smartphone, or safely driving down I-29 with SmartSense advanced safety features like Highway Driving Assist or Smart Cruise Control, Hyundai continues to remain at the forefront of automotive technology. What’s next for this auto innovator? How about a vehicle that parks itself? Take a ride with Vern Eide Hyundai Sioux City as we explore Hyundai’s Remote Smart Parking Assist, how this feature works, and which Hyundai models have remote smart parking assist.
We’ve all been there before. It’s the tight parking space downtown Sioux City, Tyson Events Center, or Omaha’s Old Market that would be a rock star parking space, if you landed it. But how are you going to fit your SUV into that tiny spot without making your passengers climb out of the windows after you’ve put the vehicle in park?
Hyundai’s remote smart parking assist feature allows you to move the vehicle forward and backward while remaining outside your Hyundai, using the Smart Key buttons to control it. Remote Smart Parking Assist is an innovative feature that helps drivers park their Hyundai in tight locations without having to risk vehicle damage and/or passenger safety. Scroll down to find out how to use Hyundai’s remote parking feature.
Parking at the push of a button as you stand outside of your vehicle? It may sound too good to be true, but it’s not! While availability for Smart Park will depend on which Hyundai model you own, the only things you will need to remember when using Remote Smart Parking Assist is your Smart Key and staying within 13 feet of the vehicle. If you want to know how to use Remote Smart Parking Assist simply refer to the steps listed below.
If you press and hold down the button again your vehicle can travel up to an additional 23 feet. Not only will remote moving (forward or backward) stop if the system identifies an object in its way, but it can also automatically steer the vehicle to avoid detected obstacles. If you wish to cancel Remote Smart Parking Assist at any time, simply release the forward or backward button on your Smart Key, then press the remote start button, and the vehicle will go into park.
While only certain new vehicles are currently outfitted with Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA), as the Hyundai car lineup and SUV models continue to evolve, more vehicles will be equipped with RSPA. Scroll down to find out which Hyundai models have Remote Smart Parking Assist.
